Obituary of Velma Marie Walker

Velma Marie Walker, 82, of Hixson, TN passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in a local healthcare facility.

She retired from Beaulieu of America.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Delphia Penney, brothers, Evan Reese Penney, James Brazelton Penney and Calvin Coolidge Penney.

Survivors include her son, Grant (Gretchen) Blaylock; daughters, Sherry (Robert) Palmer, Donna Royse and Tammy (Buddy) Dykes; brother, Grady Morrison Penney; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton County Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday September 17, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
