Bobby was a true champion of the poor. He first traveled with CNP to Haiti over 15 years ago . He was on The Children's nutrition program's board . He walked the talk and worked tirelessly to help the children and he was a pleasure . We will miss him greatly. Sad to see him go so early.

We are Bill"wife Kelly"s mom and Dad . We heard such wonderful things about Bobby from Bill Stone I wish we had met him, but we loved him thru his brother and know God will still use him in Gods way for years to come. He planted many seeds here on earth and those seeds will continue to grow and spread Gods word and HIS Will. We pray Gods peace and blessings on all who knew and loved Bobby.

I’m in shock. I’ve cried and asked why and how could this happen to such a good, kind, giving, talented and loving man like Bobby Stone. My heart literally hurts when I think of the loss this City of Chattanooga has been dealt. I met the incredible man I was honored to call my friend when he shot the video for the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball in 2017 when Gene Lovin was the honoree. He videoed the interview with our daughter Chris Trammel Morgan and granddaughter Mica Taylor Morgan and of course myself and Gene Lovin after his Cardiac Arrest at Denim and Diamonds at the Trade Center in 2016.
He was so kind and gentle and caring in telling our story. I loved this wonderful human being.
Bobby Stone, may you Rest In Peace. Your work on Earth is done, I’ll see you again one day. Both Gene Lovin and I are just devastated.

My sympathy to Bobby’s family. I was only around him a few times but observed his cinematographer talents many times. May God comfort you in this difficult time.

I was Bobby’s personal trainer for about a year. Two mornings every week, we’d spend time together doing some reps between our conversations. It was halfway through my shift, and it was the slot I looked forward to the most. I’d see him amble upstairs (you know the slow saunter he had) looking at his phone. His morning was poached eggs, Morning Joe, podcasts on the drive, and then he’d switched to Twitter as he walked to the studio. When he’d inevitably arrive 4 minutes late, he say, “let’s take a few warmup laps and catch up on politics.” We were two peas in a pod as far as politics were concerned. Then as we got to know each other, he became more than a client—he became my friend. He was a dad when I was missing mine. We each shared our stories of hard times, commiserating with one another, not afraid to throw some frustrated profanity around. He validated my pain when I told him about my family’s rejection (because I’m a woman who married a woman). When I told him my dad wouldn’t be at our wedding, Bobby was heartbroken and said, “I’ll be there.” Bobby stepped in to be my family. He embraced my wife, and he celebrated mine and Allison’s love.
When my book was published last year, he threw a party at his house—even had his best friend cater it. I loved parties at Bobby’s. Anyone who came in the door was welcomed. He’d be damned if it was otherwise. He came to all my special events (engagement party, wedding, etc.) to take photos, but most all, just to be a loving presence. His presence was big; it was great and as tall as he was.
When he saw that a piece on my watch was broken, he said, “I can fix that,” and brought it back the next day. He’d 3D printed a piece for it. I’ll never get rid of that watch. He taught me to make a classic daiquiri, taught me that it was okay to skip reps and go on walk to gripe about politics instead. He was unafraid to call bullshit. He was unabashed, exuberant, loyal. His kindness was deep yet understated by humility. He was wildly talented, insanely intelligent, expressed emotion in media, and wanted nothing but goodness in the world. I'm still in disbelief that he's gone. My heart aches. Bobby, my heart is loving you loudly right now—I hope somewhere your soul hears it. I will miss you.

Bobby “Rock” Stone is a true rock of this community. What he does, and has not done yet, will be missed. An angel on Earth, now a Saint...heaven will have a few more laughs with Bobby.
