Obituary of Robert "RJ" John-David Orr

R.J. Orr was born April 28, 1980 and went to join his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ May 17^th, 2018.  “and these whom he predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.”  Romans 8: 30. 

RJ lived a full life in his 38 years and was a man of many talents; accomplished musician, sound technician, designer and craftsman.  RJ was born in Chanute, Kansas moving with his parents to Chattanooga, Tennessee at age 7 attending Gann’s Middle School and Soddy Daisy High School where he was an excellent student and athlete as part of the Soddy Daisy Trojan’s Dream Team of 1996-98.  RJ graduated from Middle Tennessee University in 2004 with a B.S. degree in Music Industry.  RJ was loved by his classmates and known not only for his talents but as a kind and gentle soul always willing to help others in need.  RJ was a recent graduate and advocate of Chattanooga’s Transformation Program.

RJ is survived by his parents, Robert & Carolyn Orr, sisters Brandy (Michael) Canady, Mande (Alan) Babb & Angela Orr and their families. 

RJ’s life will be celebrated at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 26th at Refuge Assembly, 194 Depot Street, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee by family and close friends with Pastor Dennis Parillo presiding.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Dodd, Hank Drennon, Ryan Rausch, Gavin Webb, Michael Canady,  Charlie Johnson, Michael Rhodes.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Refuge Assembly, 194 Depot Street, Soddy Daisy, TN.  37379 with reference to Transformation or RJ Orr in the memo section of the check or by note.
