Leroy was something special. I heard his name all of my life but when I needed a job really badly, he and Flo gave me a chance at Sequoyah. I retired from there years later. That started a wonderful friendship. He was so entertaining, I could have talked to him for hours. He knew all my people and stories I had never even heard. His quick wit and infectious laughter....his ability to make each person he met feel like an instant friend was uncanny. Any time there was a need, he made it his own and found a way to make things better. I know his loss is devastating but all these beautiful words posted here in tribute should bring you some solace. His place may not be filled as it was, but his lasting effect on the lives of those he touched will last long after his passing. Thanks for being my friend, Leroy. Love to the family.

I am reading the loss of a beautiful person in Mr. Clark. Please accept my sympathy and prayers for Mrs. Clark, family and friends. May the Bible scripture give you comfort in these trying times. The thought of the resurrection hope comes to mind when Jesus mentioned it in John 5:28,29. Also of comfort is Romans 15:33.
May you continue to share with each other your up building memories as you await Mr. Clark’s return.

I'm grateful to have met your Lee Roy Tessie. Like my late sister Gale he met with me at karaoke once in her final hours.. Gone too soon friend but Jesus is happier. So, we can take comfort sharing in the Joy the Lord must feel with Lee Roy there and Know we'll meet again some day when HE calls for you and for me. Sorrow I feel in Lee Roy's departure but grateful to say he was a good neighbor. Prayers to all loved ones and Peace..

I am so sorry for your loss. I found comfort in the hope at Acts 24:15, which says in part “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” This promise is sure. And I hope it comforts you at this difficult time.

Lee Roy was one of my favorite people at Sequoyah. I loved to hear him brag on Tessie and his children. What I would like to share with the family is how he helped me in a most difficult situation. My sister-in-law passed away, and the twin boys were in middle school and did not want to go back to school. He helped me develop a plan that not only worked, but they both pulled their grades up and graduated! I am really not sure they would have been motivated to go if it had not been for Lee Roy. My thoughts and prayers for all of you--Carolyn

Lee Roy was a regular at Daniel Farm Supply. He was a best friend of my father’s (Keith Daniel). I loved hearing the stories he told me about him and my dad. Lee Roy knew how to put a smile on your face, and he was always excited to tell us about his projects he was working on. He was full of life and full of jokes too! He brought me glass insulators because he knew how much I loved them
and in return we gave him a Prince Albert can that he loved. Recently, my husband went to his house and Lee Roy spent hours showing off his collection with excitement. He even started up every tractor with a smile on his face. Lee Roy had a lot of life to live and he will be missed dearly. RIP friend. Say hello to my dad for me. <3

So sad to say to an old friend good by like this so soon. Lee Roy and I was great friends in school we were same age and its so hard to see he has left this life behind. Lee Roy was a great and awesome friend to me many years and although we drifted apart through the years after school when we saw each other at a livestock sale or out in town or where ever it may be by chance we ran into one another we would talk like we had never been apart at all. Once Lee Roy was your friend he was always your friend and talk about the old days and remember things you may have forgit and the rememberence when he brought it up made you realize hey Lee Roy was the kind of friend that's rare he really paid attention to his friends and their needs and wants. Even though he was not from a sea l Thu and richly goods family he would bring me his cl poo the that he had out grown or just didnt like that well and I cherished them like t hwy were brand new never worn cause they came from my friend t hat cared about me and was truly a friend to the end. My condolences to Lee Roys family he left behind and his wife Tess was the same type of friend she was just quite but she was attentive to her friends even though she may not have talked as much as Lee Roy she still loved and cared about friends. Lee Roy will be missed by many and grieved for his passing as well. I for one will never forget how much true friendship meant to Lee Roy and remember my great and awesome friend always. I thank God for friends like Lee Roy that he gave to me as a child in school that young age is where you get made what you are and friends like Lee Roy help make you what you become because of the love shared between true friends tend to cause you to share that love with others you meet and care about. Rest in peace Lee Roy and go rest high on that mountain. Your work here is done now just rejoyce and worship the Father and as you reunite with your loved ones gone before say hello to all my friends and tell my daughter mother and brother I miss them and lone to see them one day just like you and we will never lose touch again but join together and praise the one who gave us life by laying his down and shedding his sin cleansing blood so we could be back with him after our work here was done. You made it before me and I don't grieve for you making the journey so soon but I do grieve because your gone from us here and your place on our hearts can not be filled by anyone else we will always have grief from mussingbyou but happy tour out of this worlds pain grief and sufferings that it has a way to give to all. Rest in peace and watch for me one day ill be there and we will then regain all that has Breen taken away and so much more and thats for ever and all of eternity always praising our saviour and thanking him for his saving grace he gave to all mankind and gave us the life after death returned to him to rejoice and praise him through eternity with all the saints. Love you and that big ol heart of yours and will always have your memory in my heart because you just never forget friends like you even when time keeps you apart you are always present with true friends so even though your absent from us here on earth and present with the lord you are also still with us in our hearts and mind. You live on through the friends you made while on your journey through. Rest well live on through us all and take your flight home. Good by my friend until we meet again. Your friend from kindergarten through all the school years to now I always spoke of you as a dear friend to every one that knew you and we talked of you and always heard how you told people I was your dear friend and knew you meant just that as well as I meant the true words that Lee Roy Clark was my childhood friend and he was a true friend and nothing fake about him he was as real as the sunshine and just as certain to be there for you if needed.

Tessie, I am so sorry to hear of Lee Roy's passing. Mom and I were at the Amish Auction a few weeks ago and seen you two from across the area. We didn't get to speak because of the sudden rain that blew up. Lee Roy was a special person and a one of a kind soul. I remember him from high school working in the bookstore and Mrs. Owensby always laughing with him. He will be missed greatly and the community has lost one of its biggest friends. His family and community was important to him and they will have a loss that will never be filled. My prayers are with you and the boys.

Papaw, Dad, Lee Roy- you answered to all three from me. My prayer is that those lengthy cards I wrote sent the message of what you meant to me. I pray that when you took your last breath that you knew how loved and adored you truly were. I can still hear you beginning a sentence with “Well” when I tell you something crazy that only you and I would have understood or thought was funny! I’m keeping my text thread just to read over and over again all the things we giggled about throughout each day. I love you, and it’s breaking me to watch the family so joyless here without you. LeeLand and MaeLee lost their papaw (PawPaw), Jordan and Scottie their daddy, and Tessie- the love of her life. I have lost one of the only people in this world who truly understood me, someone who I was almost identical to in behavior. We love big and hurt big! There’s no one else who will understand all of our little inside jokes like you. I could type for days on here, but I want you to know that I love and miss you. See you soon Dad!

Leeroy was a very good friend of my family and a very good friend to everyone around him. I say this with a heavy heart and I know everyone will miss him dearly. Leeroy was always there when we were in school and willing to offer help or suggestion to whatever the trouble was. I stopped and talked to Leeroy a while back and we went through some old memories and had a pretty good hour or so. We spoke of each others family and friends and things that had happened to us in the past. He mentioned wanting to fix up the old Triumph he got from a guy named Buzz from the church we attended growing up. So very sorry for your loss and hope that somehow you will find a way to get through it comfortably. I know it is hard but God will be there to see you through.
