Obituary of Virginia Lee Davis

Mrs. Virginia “Granny” Davis (née Dobbs), of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 87.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie H. Davis; a daughter, Anna Marie Farr; parents, James Carthell Dobbs and Mattie Shipp Dobbs; stepmother, Joyce Dobbs; sister, Lois Owens; brothers, Carl “Gene” Dobbs, Homer “Bud” Dobbs, James “Jim” Dobbs.

She is survived by her children, James “Jim” (Valentine) Davis and Connie Lee (Joseph) Ellis; and her grandchildren, Tessa (Jesse) Vaughan, Paul (Janet) Nichols, Melissa (Scott) De Lap and Chad Farr; Kim(Doug) Flack, Lore Oakley Conway, Vickey (Terry) Harris, Stacey(Greg) Van Diver;  Sister, April (Hutch Hubbard) Dobbs; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

An informal memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Pavilion of Flibeta Boat Club.
