Obituary of Patrick Lee Whalen

Patrick Whalen went to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He is having a reunion with Erica, Amanda, and wonderful family. He was my soul mate whom I trusted with my life. I will see him again soon. Patrick worked at DuPont for 26 years. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Erica and Amanda Whalen. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda Whalen; daughter, Tera Whalen Shaffer and son in law, Rich; grandchildren, Zackary, Abbigail, and Trinity; mom, Gloria Whalen, Dad, Jimmy Whalen; sister, Pam and her husband Mike Strausberger. Funeral services will be at 1 P. M., Thursday in the chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Minister James Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with his DuPont friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 P. M. Wednesday and 11 - 1 P. M. Thursday at Legacy Funeral Home, 8911 Dallas Hollow Rd., Soddy Daisy, TN 37379. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
