Conyous Prater Whitfield, 97, of Lookout Mountain passed away on April 6, 2016. The daughter of the late William Licus and Rosa Harris Prater, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Esco Alexander Whitfield, grandson, Timothy Whitfield McDonald and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Janet (Dr. Charles) McDonald, Bill (Karen) Whitfield, Pete (Catherine) Whitfield, Joe (Holly) Whitfield, Tom (Karla) Whitfield; brother, Homer Prater; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Visitation is Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the fellowship hall of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Services will follow at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow the service in Forest Hills Cemetery.
