Obituary of Caroline Prince Anderson

Caroline Prince Anderson, age 90, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at a local healthcare facility. She was a lifelong Chattanooga resident and member of the Presbyterian Church. Her career was spent in women’s fashion. For many years she was the fashion coordinator and buyer for Loveman’s Department Store’s Crystal Room. Later she opened Raiment, a women’s fashion boutique, with her friend Margaret Ann McMenemy, which they operated until their retirement. Many of her customers became lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O. Anderson, Jr.; parents, Alberta Seagle and Jess G. Prince; sister, Mary Kathryn Cotton; and brother, Graham Prince. Surviving are her sons, Creed (Carol) Hoodenpyle and David (Lou Ann) Hoodenpyle; stepchildren, Paula (Lee) Turner, and Robert Anderson. She had several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 12-1:45 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM in Forest Hills Cemetery with the Reverend Vernon Windom officiating.
