Meeting COL Volgyi (I could never call her Sharon, no matter how many times she asked me to) was one of the best things that ever happened to me. She had such a tremendous impact on my life and taught me so much that I could never cover it all here. I owe my entire career and every ounce of leadership ability to her. Through her mentorship, guidance and loving direction I experienced things that I could only dream of before. She was a window to all that was possible and she made sure that I had a clear view. She welcomed me into her home even though I was clearly not "polished" like her other friends, and made me feel like I belonged there. She taught me, redirected me, protected me and gave me wings when it was time for me to leave the nest. I am forever in her debt. Rest well COL Volgyi. I salute you, I love you and I will never forget you. Imre, I will pray for your comfort and peace...you were such a blessing to her. She lit up when you walked into the room or at the mention of your name. I just know that she took great comfort in your being with her in her final hours.
