Obituary of Linda Sue Ricketts

Linda Sue Mincey Higgins Ricketts, 69, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, May 11 2013 at her home. She was of Baptist faith and attended New Life Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, David M. Mincey, Sr., mother, Helen Mincey, sister, Aileen Ricketts, brothers, Dillard, Maynard, David, Larry and Lloyd Mincey. Survivors include her daughters, Annette (Rusty) Proffitt, Kim McDonald, Pennie (Barry) Pearson; brothers, Leonard Mincey, Freddie Mincey, J.C. Mincey and Ricky Mincey; sisters, Brenda Lockhart and Charlotte Reed; grandchildren, Amber Burchard, Ashley Kunze, Autumn Goodwin, Andi Nolen, Jake and Jordan Proffitt, Heather Williams and Tori Kjeldgaard; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many friends including best friend/chosen sister, Linda Brown and Bill Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. and Honorable Clarence Shattuck and Rev. Morris Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Scott Mincey, Dicky Henley, Todd Henley, Larron Barbee, Randy Hamby and David Hicks serving as pallbearers. Bill Smith will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 2-8pm on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy.
