Obituary of Jamie Rowden

Jamie Rowden, 45, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Jamie was a 1986 graduate of Loganville, GA High School. He was a member of Melville Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and occasionally led Sunday morning worship. He was the General Manager of Aramark Uniform Services of the Chattanooga Depot. He received many awards for sales and service throughout his twenty years of employment. His last distinguished award was sales manager of the year for the Southeast region. Jamie was an avid lover of sports. He coached little league baseball and basketball for many years. He also served as chairman of the Middle Valley Youth Association. He went on to be his son's #1 fan, watching him play baseball for Loftis Middle School, the Soddy-Daisy Trojans and now, as a Bryan College Lion. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Millard and Frances Watson and James and Jo Rowden. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty three years, Debbie, whom he absolutely adored; son, L.J; daughters, Brittany (Sam) Combs of Blairsville, GA and Shannon McNeal of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Madeline and Savannah McNeal of Soddy-Daisy and Caden, Samantha and Corbin Combs of Blairsville, GA; parents, James and Melba Rowden; sister, Melba Jane (Chris) Armestead, all of Loganville, GA; many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Shoemate, Rev. Reece Fauscett and Rev. Todd Heil officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Tim Kinnersley, Lydell Blue, Hunter Lamoureux, Devon Nicholson, Darrell Bible, Jared Hines, Mike Marlow, Hayden Clark and Jeff Owen serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12-8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
