To the Finley Family: I have just returned from a meeting of the Executive Committee of the University of Chattanooga Foundation. I want you to know that, by virtue of Judy’s chairing the Nominating Committee of the University of Chattanooga Foundation, her influence on this Foundation will be felt in a very positive way for at least the next 20 years. Here is how. By first choosing among her fellow trustees the makeup of the Nominating Committee itself and then this Nominating Committee identifying new prospects for service on the University of Chattanooga Foundation, the Foundation and its Board are now stronger than ever before. I participated with her on the Nominating Committee for two years and I saw the excellence of newly selected candidates for service as a Trustee of the UC Foundation with a special emphasis on drawing from the alumnae family of the University of Chattanooga and UTC. Her leadership role in identifying worthy candidates to serve as Trustees has provided leadership talent that will guide this Foundation for 20+ years to come. This is one measure of Judy’s contribution to the Chattanooga Community that I have had the pleasure to witness firsthand. God bless each and every one of you, and, most especially, Judy F.
