Obituary of Vincent Wayne Eldridge

Vincent "Hoss Cat" Wayne Eldridge, Sr., 74, of Soddy-Daisy passed Saturday, November 30, 2013. Mr. Eldridge retired from TVA in 1990 after many years of service. He was a member of Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Eldridge and brother, Winfred Lynn Eldridge. Survivors include his sons, Vincent "Smiley" Eldridge of Bledsoe Co. and Ed Eldridge of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Angela Henderson and Susan Reno, both of Soddy-Daisy; Virginia Turner of Spring City and Maggie Hamblen of Whitwell; brother, Charles Eldridge, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Augustus Marcum and Evelene McElyea, both of Indianapolis, IN; Thelma Rodenberg of Florida and Venus Franks Baltimore of Maryland; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darrell Winters officiating. Interment will be in Rhea Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-8pm on Monday at the funeral home.
