Ann Davis Fitzpatrick, 91, of Hixson died in the evening of April 9, 2013. Originally from Mobile, Ala., she moved here seven years ago to be closer to her daughter, Mariann Fitzpatrick Hughes. In 1955, she began working for Gayfer's department store, where she later became the millinery buyer. During the 1970's her colorful personality served her a regular guest host of The Dot Moore Show. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Joseph "Larry" Fitzpatrick; brothers, Buford, Earl and Erby Davis; sister, Doris Davis Banker; and daughter, Frances Fitzpatrick Beck Marshall. Survivors include her daughter, Mariann (John) Fitzpatrick Hughes of Hixson; grandsons, Tally Beck of New York and Jack (Wendy) Hughes of Knoxville; granddaughter, Julie (James) Hughes Floyd of Hixson; great-grandsons, Nicholas Hughes of Knoxville and Dylan Floyd of Hixson; and great-granddaughters, Morgan Floyd of Hixson and Meagan Hughes of Knoxville.
