James Benton Bidwell, Jr., 80 of Soddy Daisy went to be with the Lord Friday, May 15, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a longtime member of The Ministry Center. James was a United States Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bidwell; children, Kathy (Kirk) Arwood, Sharon Davis, Tom (Kim) Marler, Pam Vandergriff, and Robin Vandergriff; brother, Roy (Linda) Bidwell; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 P.M., Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Stiles and Rev. Jim Milligan officiating. Interment will follow at National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 P. M. Monday and 12 - 1 P. M. Tuesday at Legacy Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Alexian Brothers Pace, Elmcroft, and Health Center at Standifer Place for their compassionate care of our loved one.
