I am so sorry for the loss of your dear love one and I send my sincere condolences to you and your whole family. Revelation 21:4 is a very beautiful and encouraging scripture, it says: " And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. It is difficult to say "good bye" to someone who has been an important part of one's life since childhood. Tom Duff has been that person to me. He was a close friend of my parents and honored them with his life-long love and friendship; he was the father of my close friend, Catherine, and Todd; he was a dear friend of mine. My father Herbert Swafford worked for Tom and Frank at Duff Brothers for many years and had a tremendous amount of respect for both. Mr Duff told me he was still driving well into his 90's which I thought was remarkable. Tom was a gentleman and a good friend of my family. Douglas Swafford

My prayers go out to the Duff family on the passing of "Mr Tom". In 1964 I was a freshman and a homesick 18 yr old at the University of Chattanooga when Mr and Mrs Duff accepted me into their home and treated me like an adopted son. The Sunday dinners were something I looked forward to every week and then Mr Tom hired me to work at Duff Brothers and (working the line filling orders was fun).
