Philip Breneman (son) my dad was one of the greatest men to ever live . he will be truly missed, no matter the circumstance my dad always was there for me, I could tell my dad anything and although he may not agree with everything I did he somehow understood. I will truly miss watching braves games with him and on Saturdays we would always watch vols football, and when I would get mad when they would lose, my dad would say they cant win em all, and they will be great again soon, I will miss him telling me stories about growing up in highland park and all his friends and the crazy things they use to do, I love you more than you will ever know dad!!!!!!!!

In looking back over my life of 71 years I clearly see that Mike Breneman was the best friend I ever had. We somehow just lost each other over the years, married and living on opposite ends of Hamilton County. He would do anything for me, We "ran around" together for probably 5 years, he drove me to town where I left for the Marines in 1961. I ran all over town with him each time I was on leave and when he went to work at Grace Chemical and I was home on leave without a car, he loaned me his. His Dad Charlie got me a job at the railroad where I spent 40 years and I always felt Mike was responsible for that. I have just tonight learned of his death and crying, crying because it is to late to do what I should have done and stayed in contact with him all these years. I intend to be a the funeral tomorrow. We talked briefly several years ago and I know one thing from that conversation, he found true love and happiness in his second marriage. Three years ago, I sent him a picture of me and my two grown sons. He wrote back and said that I sure had aged, he had not and here is a picture of him...it was his Central High School picture; now was that not a typical Mike Breneman? lol Paul Wingo, Ooltewah

We, the friends of Mike's sister Judy Knight Breneman of Big Stone Gap, Va., are saddened to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. He and his wife, Eloise, have been in our hearts and prayers for many, many months, both at our home church, East Stone Gap United Methodist Church, and in the ladies' Tuesday Morning Bible Study. We pray for peace and comfort for Eloise and Mike's family and circle of friends.
