Michael Jessie Clagg, 78, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. Mr. Clagg retired from Swift Meat Company after forty seven years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. Clagg was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. He was the best husband and father in the world. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Beaulah Clagg. Survivors include his wife, Ann Clagg of Soddy-Daisy; sons, Marcus (Cheryl) Clagg of Soddy-Daisy; Tony (Sherry) Clagg of Murfreesboro and Steven (Martha) Clagg of Clearwater, Florida; daughters, Debra (Steve) Rogers of East Brainerd; brother, Willie (Pat) Clagg of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sisters, Mary Lou (Forrest) Peters of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ozella (Rue Dell) Smith of Boonesville, Arkansas, and Sue Adams of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Adam Clagg, Jessica Baze, Joe, Matt and Katie Clagg, Steven, Elizabeth, Zachery, Caleb, and Benjamin Rogers, Seth and Abi Clagg; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Corbin Baze, Lilly Clagg, Connor and Carter Clagg, and three more on the way. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steven Clagg officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy.
