Obituary of Wanda Faye Massengale

Wanda Faye Harville Massengale age 67, of Tiftonia, went home to be with our Lord, Monday, October 29th, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was a homemaker and in her time, active in the community as a softball coach and the PTA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Bill Massengale, her parents Oscar Lee Harville, Ollie Durham Harville Wilcox, and Marion C. Wilcox and brother-in laws Darrell Teeters, Lee Teeters and Frank Thompson. Survivors include her children; sons, Donnie (Maria) Massengale of Hixson and David (Jodi) Massengale of Soddy Daisy; daughter, Cathy (Phillip) Pearson of Tiftonia, grandchildren, Jacob Massengale, Brandon Brownfield, Dean, Brandon, Kory, Ashlee and Austin Pearson and great-grandchildren Trey, Eli, Cole and Caleb Pearson. Sisters, Norma (John) Ellis, Betty Jo Augustine, Nancy (Tim) Chambers, Mary Ellen Teeters and several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at TVA Raccoon Mountain at the Helicopter Pad. Visitation and fellowship to follow with family and friends from 1:30-4:30 PM at Tiftonia Baptist Church, 518 Browns Ferry Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419 Graveside services will be for the family at a later date.
