Obituary of Robert Virgil Turner

Robert Virgil Turner, 70, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in an area hospital. Mr. Turner retired from Alstom Power after forty two years of service. He attended Soddy Church of God. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Turner; parents, John and Maxine Turner; sisters, Alice and Hazel; bother Arnold Turner. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Turner; sons, Allen Turner of Soddy-Daisy and Randy (Missy) Turner of East Ridge; brother, Clifford (Jean) Turner of Chattanooga; sisters, Gracie Stewart and Mae Wilson, both of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Tabi, Joe, Kayla and Amber; great-granddaughter, Sky. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Freedom Worship Center with Reverend Arville Hurst and Pastor Mike Battles officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday and 11:00 AM- 1:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
