AN IRISH BLESSING May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

For there is no friend like a sister, In calm or stormy weather, To cheer one on the tedious way, To fetch one if one goes astray, To lift one if one totters down, To strengthen whilst one stands.

My sister-in-law, Pam, was a real "what you see is what you get lady," never putting on airs, proud of her children, and loving to all creatures great and small. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, and I am glad God chose to take her home and give her everlasting joy and peace. We are all composites of the people that have touched us in our lives, and they are a composite of the people that have touched them. When one that has touched us passes on, a part of them lives in us forever, and a part of us leaves with them. If someone can say I was a good man when I pass, it will be because I had the honor of being touched by Pam.

We knew Pam for a long time. She used to groome our dog, Loveday, for many years. Once you got past Pam's New York ways, you would find the lovely person inside. We extend our condolences to her family, and will miss seeing her at the job she loved.

My family extends our heartfelt sympathy to the Betz family. Pam was a most caring person and was the only groomer our current dogs knew. Her ability to work with all kinds and types was always evident. Her kindness to our family and pets will always be a wonderful memory. I will miss our "spritely" conversations and her "no nonsense" attitude. It was always a pleasure to schedule grooming appointments with Pam and I am grateful for the six years of loving service she provided.

I knew "pammie", as her dad use to call her, through "Steffie", her sister, when Stephanie and I were in nsg school 35 yrs ago. She was then, and always remained a funny person,a "tell it like it is" NY loving person who was giving and caring to all including her beloved animals. She so loved her family including her "boys", her new grandson, her sister, hubby and all her many animals. I loved her sense of humor.... funny even when she was so sick. Stephanie told stories of what Pam said and it always made me laugh. She had a great sixth sense of people- a NY trait. Her "realness" in all life events was so refresing! Yrs ago I saw this in her and so enjoyed that about her. She was a "nurturer" as tough as she could appear, in her heart of hearts, she was a loving and nurturing person first and foremost. I think she was her boys' "best friend". There wasnt a person alive that didnt like Pam and get a "kick" out of her and her sense of humor. I also want to commend her sister, Stephanie, for being such a wonderful sister to Pam. Putting her life on "hold",to come to TN, to spend time with Pam and take care of her in her last month of life with this terrible disease. Pam knew and felt her sister's love. Actions speak louder than words......and both Pam and Stephanie lived this life motto. You put in a brave and tough fight girl!! I'll remember you always and hope I can be half as brave as you in any difficult trying times of my life. I heard there is a section of heaven where "dog" people co-exist with their past beloved pets. I heard everyone knows you already ( and why would this surprise me! ) in this special neighborhood in "Animal & People " Heaven. Enjoy Pammie...taking care of all!!
