Obituary of Charlton Walter Holland

Charlton Walter Holland, 51, of Soddy-Daisy and formerly of Lafayette, TN passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 in an area hospital. Mr. Holland was a former Quality Control Inspector at Chattanooga Boiler and Tank. He was a loved and devoted member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Holland. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Morgan Holland; son, Zachary Holland; brothers, Gary Holland and Mark Holland; sister, Donna Warren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7PM EST on Monday in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Robert Colbert, Harrison Chandler, Bud DeSha, Charlie Cassidy, Tom Million, Jim Reeves and David Powell will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2-9 PM EST Sunday and 10AM EST until service time on Monday at Legacy Funeral Home. Additional Funeral services will be held at 11AM CST on Thursday, March 1st at Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Interment will follow Macon County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-9 PM Tuesday and from 9AM-9PM Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home.
