Garry Warren Brown, 76, of Hixson, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at his home. Mr. Brown retired from Canadian National Railroad. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion in Wyandott, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Irma Brown and sons, Danny Brown and Donald Brown. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Brown of Hixson; daughters, Cheryl Wakefiled of Southgate, MI; Linda Mullins of Chandler, AZ; Sherry Ethier of New Bern, NC; Cathy Rushing and Colleen Kelly Glaser, both of Pulaski, TN and Michele Lynn Ashley of Hixson; stepson, Michael Delozier of Garden City, MI; brother, Timothy Brown of Flat Rock, MI; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a special friend, Ken Sissons of Indian River, MI. A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Monsignor Al Humbrecht as celebrant. Interment will be held in Michigan. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 PM with prayers at 8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, #102 Chattanooga, TN 37421 or Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
