James Gann Sr. was a great guy who helped out a lot of people that no one will ever remember.He always had a great smile and kind word.He encouraged everyone who worked for him to do there best & always let the people around him know he thought of them as family with special surprises (like the turkeys & hams @ Christmas) He was a very generous and caring person & I saw him help many people,I loved working for him & son James jr.. & with his brother Ralph building & installing cranes.You will be missed for your larger than life personality and generosity.Thoughts & Prayers to the family,John Caraway

It's hard to find the words to express the impact that Jim had on my life. Having worked for him at MPH Crane, he taught me how important it is to appreciate the small, everyday things of life - especially family and friends. Jim's belief was that if you take care of people, they will take care of you. I never seen a grown man get as excited about Christmas as Jim would. He loved playing Santa for the kids. And he was so generous to his employees with hams, turkeys, mixed nuts, poinsettias, jackets and a few extra "chips" for all of our pockets. Yes, my life was changed because of Jim and I am very grateful for that. Happy trails my friend. May the Lord's face shine upon you. With my deepest respect, Larry Heinz

There are not words to describe Jim Gann Sr. Jim did so many things for others whether in business or in pleasure. He and Gail always did the best to entertain at their home in Lakengren and what a great time we had having drinks around the pool. Jim was very generous and kind to all and I can not begin to say "Thank You" to him and Jimmy for giving me the opportunity to work for them for over ten years and what Jim meant to me. Such a wonderful, kind, generous man who lived life large and shared with so many. He was a humble man who provided for the less fortunate.
