Glenda Joyce Van Winkle, 72, of Hixson died Monday, December 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Josephine Brown and a sister, Sheila Carpenter. Survivors include her husband, Don Van Winkle, Hixson; son, Don Van Winkle, Jr., Soddy Daisy; daughters, Gina Ricketts and Janice St. Onge; brother, Gary Brown, all of Hixson; sisters, Connie Harvey, Soddy Daisy, Theresa Rockholt, Harrison, and Tina Hale, Falling Water; and four grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Albert Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday at Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
