Obituary of Shirley Jean Elder

Shirley Jean Peeler Elder, age 62, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011. She is now holding Jesus' hand. Shirley was married to Wayne Elder and resided in Chattanooga, TN, (formerly of Gaffney). She was the daughter of the late William Floyd Peeler and of the late Eula Mae Peeler. Shirley was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Shirley is survived by three children; Pamela White Brown, Shirley White Kirby, Thomas William White and had two step-children; Keith Elder and Mike Elder. Shirley had ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters; Ethel Peeler Scruggs, Joyce Peeler Hampton and Mildred Peeler Shelton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Stuart Heights (main campus) 5-7PM, Memorial services will follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Chattanooga.
