Ann K. Morgan, 81, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a 1947 graduate of Chattanooga High School where she was elected Miss Chattanooga High School. She attended the University of Chattanooga and joined Alpha Delta Pi Sorority which she remained active with throughout her life. Ann served as an ADPi Province President from 1963 '“ 1977 and encouraged many young women to become involved in community service. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hixson for 50 years. She also enjoyed attending Lee Anderson's Sunday School class and It's a Wonderful Life at Chattanooga's First Presbyterian Church. Ann was an avid bridge player and participated in many bridge clubs over the years. She was also a founding member of the Creeks Bend Women's Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Morgan; son, Charles Edwin Perkins, Jr.; and parents James M. and Lois K. Johnston. She is survived by daughter, Amy Perkins Wagner (Barry) of Chattanooga; daughter, Kelly Perkins Bass (Joe Lawrence) of Lookout Mountain; granddaughter, Dr. Lyndsay Wagner Frankenberg (Chris) of Atlanta; grandson, Dr. Seth Wagner of Chattanooga; grandson, Nathaniel Bass of Chattanooga; and granddaughter, Abby Bass of Lookout Mountain; great granddaughters, Lily Frankenberg and Charlotte Frankenberg of Atlanta. Ann's family appreciates the love and care of all her friends. They also thank the staff of NHC Parkwood and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care and support. A memorial service celebrating Ann's life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hixson on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Schimmer officiating and Lee Anderson participating. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service. Private burial alongside her late husband will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are given to Hospice of Chattanooga, McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center, or a charity of your choice.
