Sybille Kern, 55, of Hixson passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011.
Sybille was born in Stuttgart, Germany and moved to the United States in 1989. She was a teacher at Chattanooga State where she taught conversational German.
Sybille was an intelligent, caring individualist who loved animals, people, and the environment. She will be greatly missed by all who met her.
Survivors include her husband, Todd Kern of Hixson; daughter, Sandy Kern of Salt Lake City, UT; and brother, Marcus Reinhardt of Stuttgart, Germany.
Services will be private.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, 2009 Curtain Pole Road, Chattanooga, TN 37406.
