Obituary of Larry Edwin Kyle

Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry Kyle, 59, of Soddy-Daisy passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. He will be celebrating his 60th birthday next week, June 7, while listening to a heavenly choir. Larry retired from Sequoyah Nuclear Plant after 26 plus years of service. He was a dad, farmer, hunter, and a friend who enjoyed mowing his yard while singing (loudly) his favorite songs. More importantly, he was a Deacon at Unity Baptist Church in Sale Creek, where he loved his church family. He met and fell in love with his wife, Lynne, at Soddy-Daisy High School. They were best friends who would have celebrated their 40 years of marriage on June 18. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kyle. Survivors include his children, Shane Kyle, and Lori Kyle Balch and son-in-law Phillip Balch, who richly and continuously blessed his life, mother, Willie Kyle; brother, Robert Kyle; sisters, Lynn Evans and Connie Frashier, both of Rhea County; aunt, Betty Cooper of Ohio; extended family, Terry (Sandra) Carmack, Meghan (Brad) Moss, Jonathan Carmack; and Marcia (Rick) Hixson, Shelby and Jordan Hixson; and Anna Bell Adams; and several nieces and nephews. All helped Larry enjoy every day of his life. His beloved Doxi, Boo Bear, was his shadow. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 3, 2011 in the chapel, with Pastor and friends, Jay Reed and Clarence Key officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, (800) 873-6983, or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, cff.org or (865)583-0355. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379. Share your memories at www.legacyfuneralhome.com.
