Neighbor Paul was the greatest neighbor anybody could ask for. For 28 years he was there whenever Harvest or I needed him. Sadly missed but know he is in the presence of the Lord.

His walk with his Lord Some weeks ago David and I were at the hospital spending time with Paul. We enjoyed our time together very much and laughed alot. David had decided to stay late with his uncle Paul and I decided to leave to go home. Before I left I asked Paul if he would like to have prayer. He said yes and rose out of his hospital bed. I was expecting him to sit up and grasp our hands for prayer but instead he began to kneel in the cold hospital floor. I said, "Paul, you don't have to do that." He said, "yes, I do. I want to kneel before my Lord." Out of all the sick people I've ministered to during hospital vistits I've never seen anyone come out of their bed to kneel in prayer. This let me know just how very deep his relationship with Jesus was and how much he held His Lord and Master in high esteem. I think we all could learn a valuable lesson from that. One day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Paul kneeled with grace and humility and a heart of love and reverential awe. He truly set an example that day that I will never forget and will carry with me all the days of my life. I plan on following his example.

There are so many great childhood memories of Uncle Paul, its hard to pick. Guess it would have to be; the christmas all of us older kids were in our early teens and told him we didn't believe in Santa...lol well, we got a surprise big time he got him a costume dressed like Santa and we all were startled to see him..lol That was the christmas he made the girls heart shaped wooden mirrors and etched our names into the wood and he accidently misspelled my name..lol he put DeeAnn..lol he said its cause I was extra special I needed another "e"..lol, and I am proud to say its still as shine and in one piece hangin on my wall today! I Love ya Uncle Paul, you will be missed but NEVER forgotten, just wish me 3 boys could have gotten to know ya better! All of OUR love and prayers go out to Aunt Patsy, my lil Candy Bar and the kids!
