Calvin F. Varner, 62, of Chattanooga died on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Calvin worked at Forest Hills Cemetery for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Varner; parents, Cleo and Hilda Varner; grandparents, Fred and Alice Grant Varner; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Durham. He is survived by his sister, Carol Jean Durham; nieces, Susan (Kelly) Ross and Candy (David) Jarvis; nephews, Ray and Leonard Durham; and thirteen stepchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at New Covenant Church, 3700 Clio Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37407. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center. www.legacyfuneralhome.com.
