Obituary of LaVada M. Watt

LaVada M. Watt, RN, BS, MAT, Captain in the Army Nurse Corp. Formerly of Soddy Daisy, TN. Died at her home following a short illness. Served 1 tour of duty as a nurse in a MASH unit near Chu Lai in the Vietnam conflict. She is survived by her children, Ian Watt, Mrs. Kenneth Roach, and 3 grandchildren. Memorial/celebration service will be held at the Bowie Reading & Learning Center Friday 10 December from 6 to 9 PM. Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be sent to the Memphis Humane Society or the Bowie Center. Mrs Watt will be buried in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN at a later date.
