Obituary of Gladys Annie Essex

Gladys Annie Essex, 88, of Soddy Daisy passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
The final decedent of eleven siblings, Mrs. Essex spent her life as a loving caregiver for her family, always putting others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben "Buck" A. Essex; son, Larry Essex; daughter, Shirley Essex and parents, Issaac and Ida McCamish.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Miller of Soddy-Daisy; step-daughter, Peggy Hayes of Idaho; grandchildren Lindsey Miller of Soddy- Daisy, Ginnie Bean of Soddy-Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Dodd Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Essex officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-9PM on Friday at the funeral home.
