Cecil Travis Hixson, 77, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Mr. Hixson retired from Vulcan Materials and worked for TVA, Watts Bar many years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Helen Hixson; son, Landon Hixson and parents, Eskel and Gladys Hixson. Survivors include his son, Mark (Allison) Hixson of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Joe (Maria) Hixson of Ozark, AL and Wayne (Debbie) Hixson of Hixson, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2010 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Buttram Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy.
