Bobby Newby, 69 of Soddy-Daisy was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in an area healthcare facility. He was the son of the late, Bill and Stella Newby. Mr. Newby was a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Newby; son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Elizabeth Newby; granddaughters, Grace and Katie Newby; brother, Paul Newby; several in-laws and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Al Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mile Straight Baptist Church Building Fund or to Hospice of Chattanooga.
