Obituary of Dorine Varner Blancett

Dorine Varner Blancett, 95 of Hixson passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her residence. She was a member of Middle Valley Church of God and retired from Combustion after 25 years of service. The daughter of the late William and Pearl Beene Varner, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Blancett; sons, James Farris Lovelady and Wayne Alton Lovelady; sisters, Jessie Grant and Effie Keith; brothers, Wayne Terrell Varner and Glenn "Buck" Varner. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Ricketts, Hixson; sister, Edra Jeter, Florida; grandchildren, David Scott (Stacia) Smith, Wayne Alton Lovelady, Darlene Lovelady, Stacy Lynn Hamrick, and Kelly Diane Hamrick; great grandchildren, Zachery Lovelady, Justin Smith, Tyler Smith, and Angela Lee. Services will be at 1 P. M. Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mitch McClure officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 - 8 P. M. Wednesday at Legacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
