Obituary of Opal Coleman

Opal Painter Coleman, 79, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a faithful member of Covenant Free Will Baptist Church. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Daisy Chapter #328. Survivors include her husband, Beecher Lee Coleman; daughters, Lisa Short Smith and April Coleman Brown, both of Soddy-Daisy and Mary Kate Coleman of Chickamauga, Ga; son, Basil Lee Coleman of Ringgold, GA; grandson, Grayson Coleman; granddaughters, Olivia Monica Thompson Davis, Rebekah Thompson, Katelyn Coleman, Shelbie Brown and Adeline Brown; nephew, Alan Burns; niece, Deby Long; great-granddaughters, Kassidy Davis and Hope Davis; daughter-in-law, Teri Coleman and son-in-law, Victor Brown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2010 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Clagg officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Dudley Dale Thompson, Paul Hall, Kevin Long, Allen Long, Ricky Ellis, Dan Brown serving as pallbearers and Steve Painter and Tim Brown serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 PM on Friday and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
