Obituary of Denton Smith

Denton Smith, 83, of Signal Mountain passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009.
Mr. Smith retired from McDevitt and Street Construction. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene F. Smith and infant daughter, Cathy Smith.
Survivors include his son, Charles (Teri) Smith of Birchwood, TN; daughters, Judy Wright of Lone Oak, TN; Cindy (Deryle) Merciers of Signal Mountain; Debbie (Robin) Sivyer of Huntsville, AL; Lisa (Greg) Massa of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Henry Smith; sisters, Pearl LeCroy, Bea Hughes and Kay Winn; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Varner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O. Box 19269, Chattanooga, TN 37416
