MY PRAYERS ARE FOR YOU. I WILL MISS MICHAEL TREMENDOUSLY. HE WAS MY SMOKING BUDDY, WE PLANTED GARDENS, TOMATOES AND TALKED ABOUT OUR FAVORITE FOODS AND HOW THE COUNTRY PEOPLE COOK "BETTER" THAN THE CITY FOLKS. WE FIGURED OUT WHAT THE WEATHER WAS GOING TO BE EVERY MORNING (MOST OF THE TIME WE WERE WRONG WITH OUR PREDICTIONS BUT WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOOD AT IT). WE HAD ALOT OF LAUGHES ABOUT POLLY DIGGING THE BACK YARD UP--HE ASK ME WHEN I WAS FILLING UP THE HOLES WITH DIRT HOW LONG I THOUGHT THAT WOULD STAY FILLED UP AND I TOLD HIM THAT I TOLD POLLY NOT TO GET THAT DIRT OUT AND HE REALLY GOT A BIG LAUGH ABOUT THAT. MICHAEL LOVED TO PULL SOMETHING OVER ON ME (I USUALLY FELL FOR IT) AND I KNOW HE COULDN'T WAIT UNTIL HE COULD THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE TO PULL ON ME AGAIN. SANDRA, YOU AND LIBBY WERE SO GOOD TO MICHAEL AND HE KNEW YOU BOTH LOVED HIM AND WANTED THE BEST FOR HIM. HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET HIM AND WHAT HE MEANT TO US. ABOVE ALL, REMEMBER HE IS CLAIMING GOD PROMISE THAT EVERYTHING IS PERFECT IN HEAVEN. (CAN'T YOU JUST IMAGINE HIM WALKING, NOT HURTING AND FEELING WONDERFUL AND HAPPY WITH HIS MOMMA AND DADDY) I AM HERE FOR YOU WHENEVER YOU NEED ME. LOVE BECKY

God called home a very special soldier, by deciding to end Michaels days here on earth. Michael was a friend to all who came in touch with him. Words can't express what loss is felt by those whom he left behind, although Michael's suffering is over and his broken body is now healed. I think that it would be fair to say that Michael would want all those who don't know God as their personal savior, that they take time to build a relationship with God, so that he (Michael) will be able to spend eternity with his loved one's in heaven. Michael was truely an inspiration to all, and is already missed.

I will miss Michael greatly. He was a wonderful man and great friend to all those that were lucky enough to meet him. May the Lord comfort the family and friends now as they mourn the loss of him and may they know he is running through heavens doors. I will always remember Michael as a great friend who listened without judging and wished the very best for all the people in his life. He loved his family. On days when others might give up , he pushed himself because he knew that was what those of us who loved him asked him to do. My life is a little sweeter and more blessed to have had him in it as I worked as a nurse but mostly because he was my friend.

Sandra, I am so sorry for your lose. I only talked to Michael one time but he seemed so nice and I could see why Becky and Kevin thought so much of him. I wished I could have known him better so that I could have told him how thankful I was that you and he were such good neighbors and friends to them. Sandra, please know that you have my deepest sympathy and that you and your family are in our prayers. In sorrow, Tootsie

Sandra, Libby, Clay, Amber and Little Ones I wanted to let you know just how much knowing Michael affected my life. He had such a giving soul, and wonderful true spirit. He never complained, and anytime I saw him I felt rested and content after our visit. As if I somehow was the patient not him. We always managed to talk about NASCAR and music while I would be there for a visit. He never made you feel anything but comfortable and at ease around him. He really had a true heart and soul, not found easily in this world of ours today. I have no doubt that he is rejoicing where he is, and that he continues to watch over you all just as he always has. That he is waiting for then day when you will all be together again. Yes, he was a special person and he will continue to impact everyones lives, and be missed by many. Sincerly Gail Hitchcock

Dear Sandra and Family, I only knew Michael for a short time, but my life was greatly enriched. He was a man of few words, but each word meant was powerful and meant something. He was encouraging to me. He loved his family. He told me several times that he did not want to lose his legs. Now those legs are whole and he is dancing the streets of gold. He is Home now! That is where I want to be! I will continue to lift you up and pray for God's peace that only He can give. Thank you for sharing your loved one with me.
