Obituary of Robert Daniel Bryant

Robert 'Bob' Daniel Bryant, 73, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, May 02, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Bryant was born on July 5, 1935 in Soddy-Daisy to the late Robert and Mary Vickery Bryant. He and his wife, Aoata were married in 1953. He retired from Sequoyah Nuclear Plant with 25 years of service and was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Bryant was a member of the American Legion Post #107, Soddy-Daisy, Laborers Local #846 and was of the Church of God faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Mathis and Lodena Coulter and niece, Frances Brock. Survivors include his wife, Aoata Harvey Bryant and his dog 'Boe'; niece, Mary Moore; nephews, David Mathis and Sam Mathis; many cousins; sister-in-laws and husbands, Ulah V. and George Walker, Girtie Mae and Edward Snyder, Lorene and Oliver Lewis, Jimmie Ruth Womac, Delsie Richardson and Joyce Snyder and brother-in-law, Nixson Harvey. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2009 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Sneed and David Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends from 3:00-9:00 PM on Sunday and all day on Monday at the funeral home. A special thanks to Dr. Fredrick Gould and his staff at Soddy-Daisy Medical Center and Dr. Frank C. Kimsey and his staff at Memorial Hospital, Mary and Danny Moore, David Mathis and Samuel Mathis for all the trip that they took Robert to the Doctors, Bobbie Hatfield and Albert Wilkey for all they have done to help Robert.
