Obituary of Bennie Evelyn Campbell

Bennie E. Campbell, 91, of Lupton City died Friday, May 01, 2009 in a local hospital after a long and brave fight with many health problems. Through it all she kept her strong faith. She was a member of Brooks Memorial Methodist Church. She retired from Dixie yarns after 42 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sally Thomas; her husband, Otis 'Shorty' Campbell; her brother, Oscar Thomas; a granddaughter, Tracy Campbell and a nephew Oscar Eugene Thomas. She leaves behind her son, Malcolm Campbell and one daughter, Bobbie Jones and beloved son-in-law, Wayne Jones; sister, Ora Kern. She is also survived by her three granddaughters, Tammy Johnson, Vicky Hamilton and Wendy Mitchell. She had six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and three nephews. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Amos Taj officiating. Red Fez Members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
