Obituary of Joe Crawford Massengale

Joe 'J.C.' Crawford Massengale, Jr., 73, of Hixson passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 in an area hospital. Mr. Massengale retired from Signal Plating. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Massengale of Hixson; sons, Jeremy Hicks of Hixson; Roland Massengale and Ronnie Massengale, both of Dunlap and Alvin Murdock of Washington; daughters, Kimberly Massengale, Rebecca Massengale, Crystal Milliken and Linda Hendricks all of Hixson and Deena Hicks of Whitwell; brothers, Clifford Massengale of Suck Creek and Bill Massengale of Chattanooga; sisters, Rosalee Weaver of Alabama and Shirlene Saynes of Chattanooga; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Grandview Church of God with Rev. Mark Woody officiating. Interment will follow in McNabb Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3:00 PM on Wednesday and all day on Thursday at Grandview Church of God.
