Obituary of Loyde Junior Richards

Loyde Junior Richards, 59, of Hixson passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Loyde was a graduate of Red Bank High School and retired from Roper Corporation after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, William 'Bill' Oakes. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Richards and son, James Richards, both of Hixson; father, Lloyd Richards of Chattanooga; mother, Betty Oakes of Hixson; former wife, Rhonda Richards of Hixson; brother, Billy Oakes of Dunlap; sister, Connie Burroughs of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2008 in the Legacy Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Kelly Shelby officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
