Obituary of Valerie M. Monk

Valerie M. Monk, 58, of Chattanooga passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her home. She was a class of 1972 graduate of Michigan State University. Mrs. Monk served as a volunteer with Hospice of Chattanooga for several years and attended Signal Mountain Bible Church. Her mother, Olga White and sister, Carol Johnson preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Monk II of Chattanooga; daughters Aimee and Angela Monk of Chattanooga; father, Thomas E. White of Chattanooga and sister, Janet Brown of Gaylord, Michigan. Services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Signal Mountain Bible Church with Dr. Gary Phillips and Pastor Tim Schoap officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
