Shirley Merie Rosamond, 65 of Hixson passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 in an area hospital. Shirley served as the bookkeeper for Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. She was the leader for Girl Scout Troop 269 for 6 years. Survivors include her husband, Al Rosamond of Hixson; son, Alvin (Misty) Rosamond of Hixson; daughter, Renee (Jody) Avery of Hixson; brothers, Junior Gallion, Charles Gallion, Johnny Gallion, Mark Gallion, and Terry Gallion; sisters, Janice Jones and Wanda Mills and grandchildren, Alvin T. Rosamond II and Avery Rosamond. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 1, 2008 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no visitation. The family request expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
