Josephine Pollard Houston, 76, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 in an area hospital. Mrs. Houston was a member of Soddy United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Clyde Edwin Houston. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Douglas C. Houston of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Polly Levi, Katherine Sorrick, Phyllis Ball, Dorothy McAfee and Diane Overdear; favorite nephew, Rick Pollard of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Varner Cemetery Fund,10838 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee 37379. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.
