Leonard Wilburn "Toots" Mincey, 81, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was a retired carpenter and Army Veteran of the Korean War. Toots was a member of New Life Baptist Church and Daisy Lodge #706 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his father, David Mincey, Sr.; mother, Helen Mincey; brothers, David Jr., Dillard, Maynard, Larry and Lloyd; sisters, Aileen Ricketts and Sue Ricketts. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Scott; sons, Vance, Dale, Danny Mincey and Bobby Reese; brothers, Freddy, J.C. and Ricky; sisters, Brenda Lockhart and Charlotte Reed. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. J.D. Gibson officiating. A Masonic service will follow the funeral service in the chapel provided by Daisy Lodge #706 F&AM. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2-8 PM on Sunday and from 1pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
