Joann "JoJo" Cormier, 93, of Lookout Mountain died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 7th at Thrive at Brow Wood after a brief illness.  JoJo grew up in Chattanooga Valley and Lookout Mountain. She attended Lookout Mountain Elementary, Girls Preparatory School, and Casement Junior College. JoJo was a former member of the Junior League of Chattanooga, and the Lookout Mountain Club. She was actively involved with the Reel Woman and the Church of The Good Shepherd. She loved the arts, music and theatre. She enjoyed her tennis matches and bridge groups. One of her passions was traveling with her husband, Richard to Europe and Canada. JoJo lived with Richard in many different locales including Arizona, New York City, Florida, or wherever Richard's jobs took them. They eventually moved back to Lookout Mountain after retirement. She always loved a good party, especially the Democratic party.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Lawrence; father of her children, Donald "Dody"  F. White Jr.; her second husband, Dr. Richard Cormier; and grandson, Hunter White.  She is survived by her children, Paul (Lori) White of Gainesville, GA, Donald F. White III and Shelby White (Carrington) Montague, all of Lookout Mountain; her loving grandchildren, Will (Ginny) Montague of Lookout Mountain, Shelby Montague (Tom) Campobasso of Chicago, IL, PJ (Maggee) White of Murrayville, GA, Katelyn (Daniel Harrison) White, of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Melinda Chu of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Shelby White of Atlanta; beloved cousin, Dr. Harry Lawrence, great-grandchildren, William Montague and Oliver Campobasso, and several special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 26th at Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain with Rev. Robert Childers officiating. Interment will follow in the church memorial garden. A reception will follow at the Lookout Mountain Club - Fairyland Clubhouse, 1201 Fleetwood Drive, Lookout Mountain.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Salvation Army Chattanooga, or The Church of the Good Shepherd.  Arrangements are by Wann Funeral & Cremation Center, at the foot of historic Lookout Mountain, St. Elmo.
