Obituary of Roy D Baker, Sr.

Roy D. Baker, Sr., 80, of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM and enjoyed fishing, car racing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his son, Ray Allison, grandson, Brian Stewart, parents, Roy D. and Cordia Adele Barger Baker and a brother and sister. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Linda Baker, sons, Roy (Donna) Baker, Jr. and Roy Gene Baker, daughters, Marie Baker, Cathy Mayhew, Denise (Joe) Skiles, Kim Israel and Tracey (Clayton) Shackelford, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.
