Dora Estelle Gossett, 85, of Chattanooga passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 in an area hospital. She retired from Signal Knitting Mill after over forty five years of service and was a member of Tiftonia Baptist Church. Her husband, James R. Gossett, Sr. and son, Charles Ryan preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, George (Kathy) Gossett of Chattanooga and James R. Gossett, Jr. of Chattanooga; sister, Frances Brown of Kingston, TN; grandchildren, James Wesley Gossett, James Cody (Kaleigh) Gossett, Johnathan Tyler Gossett, Justin (Crystal) Tipton and Jason (Beth) Tipton; great-grandchildren, Barrett, Kelby, Maddox, Briley, Knox, Hollis and Braxton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Brandon and Rev. Everette Gossett officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens West with Les Gossett, Cody Gossett, Justin Tipton, Jason Tipton and Tyler Gossett serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
